SUMMARY:Elytra Race
DESCRIPTION:The Rainbow Elytra course begins in the sky with pink rings and carries you through every color\, shifting as you go. \nThe race is broken into five connected segments. \n– Part 1 (pink\, red\, orange) wraps around a bizarre natural land formation.\n– Part 2 (yellow) brings you back up into the sky and over the desert with a pyramid theme.\n– Parts 3 and 4 (green\, cyan\, blue) take you through vast lush caves with underground ponds and lava. The course tightens\, visibility changes\, and control matters more than speed.\n– Part 5 (purple) brings you back to the sky over the jungle where you’ll coast over a river to the final platform. \nEach part is linked by a portal\, so the race flows continuously from one environment to the next. \nHow It Works\nThis is a timed race\, not a mass start. We’ll run the course in small waves\, so everyone has space to fly clean. Your final standing is based on your total time\, not who crosses first.\nYou can focus on your run without getting crowded. You can also start over if you like. \nWhat To Expect\nWe’ll coordinate in the voice channel and by chat. You can listen in or watch the chat. \nThe Rainbow Elytra course was designed to be both relaxing and challenging with lovely scenery and just enough difficulty to promote a state of flow. There’s a clear path with lighting and arrows (no guessing where to go). A mix of speed\, control\, and recovery are keys to good timing. \nNew or rusty with Elytra? \nYou’re still good to join. No elite skill required. You can take it at your own pace. Clean flying beats messy speed. \nWatching others run the course first is totally fine. Warps to spectator platforms will be posted\, so you can hop around to follow others in flight. \nTiming\nEvent start: 3:00 PM EST\nJoin anytime in the first 20 minutes.\nWarp: /warp elytra-start \nYou can begin the race any time before 3:30 pm and restart any time before 4 pm. \nRewards\nEveryone who joins will get custom enchanted items and a token of remembrance. \nRecording\nWe’ll be running the Flashback Mod to create videos. We always remove nametags from videos. We can also change your skin if you want to be anonymous for whatever reason\, and if you don’t want to be in any final videos at all\, we can export with settings that prevent that\, so let us know you’re preferences.
