You can sell items by placing a chest anywhere in Second Haven, holding the item you would like to sell, clicking on the chest (left-click), and entering your price in the chat bar. Click enter, and your chest becomes a shop.
Another approach is to build a full shop with multiple chests and many items. You can see examples of shops in The Market (type /warp the-market).
