Greetings Haveners! We’ve been hard at work building our first guided group quest, an adventure that will take place over many one-hour sessions with the support of a dedicated Quest Guide.
If you’ve ever joined an escape room with a storyline, it’s a bit like that… but in Minecraft. We started with a fantastic story complete with rich characters, village lore, and even new languages. Then we added cool puzzles and challenges that bring the story to life. We’ve played hundreds of adventure maps and puzzle maps, some good, some not so great. We know what’s boring and what’s exciting, immersive, and challenging for players of all ages.
We also understand how hard it is to connect with new people, so part of the goal behind our guided group quests is to make that easy. The quest itself involves group activities that honor multiple styles of communication and social interaction. You can be yourself, in other words, and that’s exactly what our story needs! In addition, our Quest Guides are trained to help new players feel safe and supported while providing hints and help when needed.

Hi all, here’s a general overview of our group adventure approach. Please don’t mind the voice narration. I did the voiceover myself, and one of my symptoms is difficulty breathing. I recorded it a dozen times, tried AI voice characters, and even asked my son to narrate (and his voice is awesome), but at the end of the day, my own personal touch seemed like the best approach. Enjoy!

Our Quest Design Team includes 12 Haveners with different roles and skillsets, including: storywriting, big builds, puzzle making, minigame design, character development, and Minecraft coding.
